Are you like Eddie, one of Maidenhead’s Community Champions?

Eddie Piekut is one of Maidenhead’s Community Champions offering a helping hand to local community groups. He was the first person I thought of when the borough asked me to replicate what I’d done for Windsor in Maidenhead and thankfully he said he’d happily help.

If you are involved in the community in Maidenhead then we’d like to hear about your organisation ASAP. Over 50 local groups have already said they’d like to be part of it 😉

We’re going to be putting a paper directory together of all the community groups and charities in Maidenhead that want to be part of it and we plan on publishing in December.

This requires us to initially have contact with all the Maidenhead Community Groups that want to take part during August and early September…

We are reaching out via our own networks, the RBWM council networks, directly via lists we obtained and by making potential participants aware via social media channels.

Around the middle of September we’ll start reaching out for 250 words, three pics and a logo from each organisation but for the time being, we just need group name, contact, phone, email.

If you know of any community groups and charities you think should be part of it then do point them to the web address above.

Thank you.
