You joining in? Doors Close 55 hours

Let me tell you a story about how tech enabled another hour in the garden 😉

I sent Cllr Jack Douglas, chap holding the camera, an email 10 days ago simply asking…

“You joining in Jack? (with text link below)

Thank you.”

Jack replied, “I would like to but haven’t found a volunteer to do it for me yet at the community centre – I’ve got too much else on the go right now!”

Jon, “Take you an hour… how can not being in the directory be an option? Sort it out chap… Thank you.”

Jack, “if it is that easy can you do it for me please! Or are you too busy 😉 ”

Jon, “Probably could … send me link to website”

Jack, “that was tongue in cheek but here’s the link: https://maidenheadcentre.org.uk/

Yesterday I thought, best sort some words out! Visiting the website, it’s simply a diary of events… useful to regular users but not great for my purpose.

I thought, let’s try ChatGPT… I asked… could you give me 150 word summary of how maidenhead community centre adds value to the local community

How’s this?

Maidenhead Community Centre 2

I added header, contacts and images borrowed from their Facebook page. ALL the other words are from ChatGPT… I was advised you can ask it to use UK English and do it in the style of your favourite playwright Shakespeare, Chekhov, Wilde… Let’s give it a try… in the style of Les Dawson 😉 😉 😉

The Maidenhead Community Centre, bless its heart, is the kind of place where you can pop in for a cuppa and a chinwag, and before you know it, you’ve made a dozen new friends. It’s like a warm, welcoming hug that’s got a bit of everything—exercise classes that’ll make you sweat more than a butcher on a busy Saturday, art workshops that unleash your inner Picasso, and social events that turn strangers into lifelong pals.

Every Tuesday, you’ll find the bingo crowd, where the only thing louder than the calls is the laughter. The centre’s a lifeline for the lonely and a hub for the lively, offering support and activities for all ages. It’s the beating heart of Maidenhead, ensuring no one feels left out—like the last slice of cake at a party, everyone gets a piece. In short, it’s a treasure trove of joy and community spirit!

WOW, that’s funny, scarey, amazing, scarey, brilliant and scarey!

Thank you.
