AI impact on Graphic Design since Roman Times

Focus of this post is to find a designer for the Directory Graphic / Logo that we can use throughout the Maidenhead directory.

LinkedIn tells me there are currently 356 designers registered on their platform based in, around or with mention of Maidenhead in their profile.

I asked Google… Maidenhead famous for… and its AI overview delivered:

Maidenhead, a riverside town in Berkshire’s Thames Valley, is known for many things, including:

  • Cox Green village – This village dates back to 100 AD and is considered one of the world’s oldest and most advanced Roman villas
  • Maidenhead railway bridge – Also known as Maidenhead Viaduct and The Sounding Arch, this bridge is the largest in Europe and was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel
  • Social scene – Maidenhead has a lively social scene with boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants, sporting clubs, and an annual Regatta
  • Braywick Park – This local nature reserve has a variety of wildlife, including swans and coots, that are attracted to the wetland habitats created by The Cut, a flood relief ditch that runs along one side of the reserve
  • Ockwells Park – This park has a zip wire, swings, climbing frames, and a picnic area, making it a great play park for kid

Not sure I recognise Cox Green as a Roman villa from 100 AD but hey ho, we’re told this is how it is by AI so it must be so 😉

We have 3 designers who have stepped up so far, along with over 20 local groups wanting to be part of the directory…

So, if LinkedIn is to be believed, that’s 1% of the designers who could join in the fun… would be good to have a baker’s dozen to choose from 😉

Pop along to our home page of the Maidenhead Directory and register your interest…

Thank you.
